The Arc of HR: The Great Community Give
Great Community Give is an initiative of the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. It is an annual local giving day event that was held last year, 2024, on Wednesday, April 17th from sunrise to sunset. This event promotes charitable giving to support nonprofit organizations in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. I was in charge of handling The Arc of HR's profile, marketing, and communications.
Goal
Our goal was to increase awareness of The Arc of HR’s mission through Great Community Give, with a focus on fundraising and community engagement. Our goal was $15,000. I organized many incentive events, such as Power Hour and created matches/challenges, to encourage donations.
Results
Due to hard work and determination, I helped break The Arc of HR's record donation of 15k.
Report
Compiled a comprehensive report outlining key accomplishments, lessons learned, and areas for improvement. My goal was to provide a foundation for the continued growth of community awareness in Harrisonburg and to support a stronger, more established launch for next year's campaign.
